As the need for Bariatric Devices has grown in recent years, Mediflex® has responded. The Deluxe Bariatric System is designed to provide virtually everything needed for abdominal procedures involving the obese patient. In addition to the 18″ or 24" Table post with one Coupler, a 12″ Vertical Extension Bar and extra coupler are included. The extension bar provides additional height or reach when needed. The set includes a Horizontal Flex Bar to allow easier manipulation of the ring position. The Half Circle and Straight ring segments can be mixed and matched to create at least 8 ring sizes and a virtually infinite number of shapes. Eight Tilt Ratchets and 2 Ratchet Extenders along with a wide variety of retractor blades are included. Keep in mind that any open procedure on an obese patient – not just surgery to treat obesity – would benefit from the use of a Bariatric System.
